The Kenwood KIV-BT900 is a higher-end, single-DIN car A/V receiver. The KIV-BT900 lacks a CD drive, targeting the large segment of consumers whose digital media practices no longer include compact discs. It features a 3" color LCD display and plays both audio and video from an iPod or iPhone connected via USB. Unlike the KIV-700, the BT900 features built-in Bluetooth, enabling hands-free calling. It is a good choice for cars with a backseat monitor, equipped with a dedicated video output. It is also notable for the ability to rip media from a USB-connected device, with 512 MB of internal storage space. A radio tuner with RBDS FM tagging – which displays artist and song information in real-time – is also standard.
