The KEF XQ10 is a bookshelf speaker aimed at the audiophile market. This is similar to the KEF XQ10, but is built slightly smaller to accommodate tighter spaces. This reduces the bass support and power slightly, although these both remain fairly high for bookshelf speakers. The Uni-Q array and "tangerine" wave-guide combine to create a natural sounding 0.75 inch tweeter, which is time-aligned to the surrounding midrange and bass 5.25 inch unit. This allows a wide frequency response range of 63Hz all the way up to 55kHz. Using a high impedance of 8 ohms, strong signal strengths are required which ensures the least amount of interference possible. Magnetic shielding is also used to avoid problems with surrounding wiring or noise from appliances. The total weight of the unit is kept light at 6.4 lbs, and maintains a moderate 7.5 x 11.5 inch footprint. Several finishes are available to suit any decor.

  • Two-way bass reflex
  • 130 mm (5.25 in) Uni-Q, and 19 mm (0.75in) aluminium dome HF
  • Crossover Frequencies: 2.0kHz
  • Frequency Response (+/-3dB): 63Hz - 55kHz
  • Maximum Output: 107dB
  • Amplifier Requirements: 15 - 100W
  • Magnetic Shielding
  • Impedance: 8 Ohms (min 3.2)
  • Weight: 6.4kg (14.1lbs)
  • Dimensions (H x W x D): 335 x 190 x 293 mm (13.2 x 7.5 x 11.5 in)
