The KEF C7 is a mid-range floorstanding speaker. This uses the same basic build as the KEF C5, but has a larger pair of 6.5 inch main drivers to cover the mid and low ranges and a slightly larger footprint. This enables it to have a deeper frequency response range as well as a higher 200 Watt maximum amplifier power. Other features are the same, including the use of 0.75 inch tweeters for the upper range and the use of a "tangerine" waveguide to spread the sound across a wider area in front of the speakers. As with all KEF C series speakers gold-plated speaker posts allow for a cleaner signal input, a high impedance allows for a more powerful signal, and the cabinet is magnetically shielded to prevent interference.
