The K'Nex Hot Shot! Video Coaster consists of 725 pieces including a video camera to take footage as the car makes its way down the track, or from the track taking a fly-by shot as the coaster rides along. The video camera comes with 16MB of memory using a Micro SD card which holds a few seconds of footage. The memory is upgradable up to a 2GB card. At 30 frames per second at a 320 x 240 resolution, the camera records in an AVI format. The video camera comes with a rechargeable battery which can be charged from a computer using the included USB cable. As with many toys, this K'Nex Hot Shot! Video Coaster requires 2 "AA" batteries to operate a motorized chain lift.

The K'Nex Hot Shot! Video Coaster is suitable for children ages 9 and up and retails for $99.99 (USD). It is currently on for a promotional price of $50 on the K'Nex website. The track itself measures to be over four feet long.
