Edit

The JVC KD-R900 is an ultra-powerful and multifunctional in-dash car-audio receiver that features a built-in MOSFET amplifier with a 200w max power output. The fifth and laste of five JVC KD A/V head units, the JVC KD-R900 is a slight upgrade from the KD-A805 in that instead of a regular detachable face, the KD-R900 features a flip-down detachable face for slightly added convenience. In all other ways, however, the KD-R900 is practically a duplicate of its peer. For instance, the KD-R900 also features two Full-Speed USB 2.0 ports (front, rear) for connection of iPod/iPhone(s), USB flash memory devices, digital audio players, and portable HDD players. Plus, the JVC KD-R900 is HD Radio Ready, Satellite Radio Ready, and Bluetooth compatible, and in fact comes equipped with a USB Bluetooth adapter (receiver, transmitter, antenna) and a high-quality external wired microphone for hands-free phone calling and wireless audio streaming. In addition, the KD-R900 offers flexible full-speed iPod/iPhone song selection through a 2-way control that allows the option of using the in-dash receiver’s or the iPod/iPhone’s controls themselves to make music selections. Both control modes include play, pause, skip, and reverse functions. The KD-R900 also sports a CD player that supports traditional CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs, plus those outfitted with MP3 & WMA music files. Furthermore, the KD-R900 boasts a standard AM/FM player, a 3-band iEQ, a wireless remote, an auxiliary port, a 24-bit digital-to-analog converter, 5V front/rear/subwoofer pre-outputs with a subwoofer control, and a Full Dot LCD display with variable-color illumination which is capable of over 30,000 customizable colors. The JVC KD-R900 retails for a slightly more expensive $269.95 (versus $239.95) and comes with a 1 year limited warranty. Additional service plans are available for a free.
