The JVC DLA-HD1 is a full HD front projector, capable of displaying images at a 1920x1080 resolution. The DLA-HD1 features a 15000:1 contrast ratio using JVC’s patented D-ILA technology. The D-ILA technology used by JVC is a form of LCD that reduces what is called "Screen door effect" which allows for clearer images. This projector also displays with a brightness of 700 lumens, and has a X2 zoom lens. The JVC DLA-HD1 connects via its Component, Composite, S-Video and two HDMI inputs, as well as its RS-232C D-Sub 9pin connector. Available June 2007, the JVC DLA-HD1 retails at $5500. The HD1 is the consumer focused version of the JVC DLA-RS1, though the specifications are identifical.

How 24p content is handled - According to the UltimateAVMag reviewer, 24p content is handled by doubling each from to 48 frames per second inside the Gennum processor, and then separate circuitry doubles the refreshrate again to 96Hz. The important point is that no pulldown occurs eliminating any accompanying artifacts.
