Edit

The JVC Everio GZ-HD6 is the successor to the JVC GZ-HD7, a harddrive disk camcorder that records full HD. The GZ-HD6 is also capable of recording full HD on a harddrive disk, but comes in a more portable package. The camera has improved on video quality with a Fujinon 3CCD sensor and 10x optical zoom.

JVC decided to stick with their MPEG-2 recording format, which is different from the more standard AVCHD format that Panasonic, Sony and Canon support. When editing footage you'll need to convert your files to the more standard format using the included software.

Features
  • 120 GB internal harddrive
  • microSD card slot for additional storage
  • 1/5" progressive 3CCD sensor
  • 10x optical zoom/200x digital zoom
  • Video format: MPEG-2 TS
  • Audio format: MPEG-1 Layer2
  • HDMI output
