Edit

The Joby Gorillapod Original is a mini tripod designed with 360° plastic swivel joints and is available in a range of colors. The maximum weight it can support is 325g which makes it suitable for compact cameras and mini camcorders. Larger cameras would require a different model such as the Gorillapod Focus. The camera stays connected with a slim-line quick release clip, which is in turn kept in place by a lockring mechanism to ensure it stays secure. Special iPhone attachment clips are also available, and, a magnetic version of this tripod called Gorillapod Magnetic is also sold for an extra three dollars which has Neodymium magnetic feet which further extends the mounting possibilities. Otherwise it is identical to the original.

Features
  • Magnetic Version: Neodymium magnetic feet

There are three sizes, i have the middle size.

Excellent for Point and shoot, i would imagine the smallest one would work well for most PnS now a days too.

If you have a DSLR i recommend the largest of the 3.
My middle sized one works ok with my DSLR, but since i have an 18-200 lens it has trouble holding it all up when zooming.

Yeah, this thing is really cool for self-timer photography, and even comes in larger sizes for SLR's and large zoom cameras.
