The IronMan 1860 is a high-end elliptical trainer. It features a pulse recovery program, and padded foot pedals. The pulse recovery program determines the user's fitness level after a workout, and assigns them a score (ranging from very poor to excellent). This can tell the user how much more they need to improve, or if it's time to move on to a higher resistance level. The padded foot pedals of the 1860 adds comfort to the user's workout. On top of this, they also provide a nonslip surface, and are over-sized so users of all sorts of sizes can use it well. When compared to another elliptical trainer by IronMan, the 1850, the 1860 has some advantages, including the heart rate control programs and touch sensitive buttons.
