Edit

TheĀ Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive Cloud Edition is a hard drive built to run as a stand-alone file server and backup system. It connects through a standard Gigabit Ethernet connection and has a low-power design with drive spin-down when not being accessed. The 2 USB 2.0 ports can be used to automatically synchronize with USB thumb drives, or they can be connected to printers for print sharing over the network. File serving capabilities include a built-in iTunes server for general media, and a UPnP NLNA Certified AV Media Server for non-Apple related media streaming. The drive can be programmed to automatically post pre-defined directories of content to Facebook, YouTube and Flickr, and it can be set to synchronize with another drive on the fly. If automated backups aren't ideal, a one-touch QuikTransfer button on the front can be used to begin the process. This drive also supports connections to public clouds such as Mozy and Amazon S3.
