The Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 is a 45nm, ‘Yorkfield’ quad-core 2.66GHz microprocessor featuring a dual-die quad core design with two unified 6 MB L2 caches. Essentially a little brother to the Q9450, the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 runs on 45nm architecture with a 1333FSB and 6MB (versus 12MB) of L2 Cache. A near duplicate of its peer, the Q9400 also features Intel 64 architecture, Intel Trusted Executed Technology, Execute Disable Bit, and Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology. Plus, this model is known to perform exceptionally well with overclocking. It is overshadowed by the Q9650 (3GHz), Q9550S (2.83GHz), Q9550 (2.83GHz), and Q9450.
