The Core 2 Duo T9550 is a mid-range mobile processor, released by Intel on a fifth-generation Centrino platform, codenamed Montevina. The dual-core, 45nm, 64-bit CPU clocks in at 2.66 GHz, and features an L2 cache of 6 MB. The unit is a minor step up from the T9400, which is almost identical in features but is slightly slower, at 2.53 GHz. Although Intel planned to keep T-series TDP values under 30 W, this unit has a TDP of 35 W. To older Centrino models, the T9550 adds SSE4.1 support and a higher front side bus speed of 1066 MHz. After a short delay, Montevina CPUs were released in July 2008. This unit is unavailable at retail.
