The Intel Atom Z530 is an embedded 45nm single core processor and is part of Intel's Z-series, a line of processors intended primarily for use in netbooks, nettops, and mobile internet devices. The processors are also designed to have the same performance standards as current generation processors but with significantly less energy consumption. The Intel Atom Z530 has a TDP of 2 watts, which allows for a significantly longer lifespan out of a battery charge when used in portable devices. The processor compatible with 32-bit versions of operating systems, has a clock speed of 1.60 Ghz, 512k cache, and 533 Mhz FSB speed (memory).
