The Intel Atom Z520 is a 45nm single core processor intended to be primarily used in mobile internet devices and portable computers such as netbooks and nettops. The processor is part of Intel's Z-series, a product line designed for much higher energy efficiency than previously released processors without lower processing power. To that end, the Intel Atom Z520 has a TDP of 2 watts which allows for less power to be consumed by the processor which leads to signficantly longer battery life out of a charge. The processor has a clock speed of 1.33 Ghz, 512k cache, 533 Mhz FSB speed (memory), and is intended for use with 32-bit versions of operating systems.

This processor is an embedded version of the Atom Z520 and has a higher TDP at 2.2 watts, slightly higher operating temperatures, and has a smaller package size.
