The Integra DBS-50.2 is a high-end Blu-ray Disc player released in late 2010. When compared to the Integra DBS-30.2, this model is differentiated by its THX certification and greater audio/video reproduction capabilities. For example, the DBS-50.2 uses the highly regarded Marvell Qdeo HD Video processor for DVD upconversion. The player’s built-in Ethernet connection enables a wide range of video on-demand services. Featured providers include Netflix, CinemaNOW and Blockbuster On Demand. For those without paid streaming subscriptions, DLNA streaming is supported for home network media sharing. All of the major A/V standards are supported, including HDMI 1.3a with Deep Color, x.v. color, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The Integra DBS-50.2 comes in a highly rigid, brush-metal aluminum enclosure with a balanced drive mechanism to reduce vibrations.
