The HTC Arrive (HTC 7 Pro) is a mobile slider smartphone featuring the Windows 7 operating system and launched on Spring’s non-4G CDMA network. It features a 1GHz for fast processing speeds, though it should be noted that the Windows 7 OS doesn’t yet offer multitasking capabilities; it offers speeds optimal for using pinch-to-zoom and other functions without experiencing lag; and as an upgrade from previous generation HTC smartphones, the Arrive adds along a “NoDo” feature that allows for copy and paste functionality. The big feature on the Arrive is a large 3.6” WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that, though smaller than other HTC phones, can be tilted for optimal typing and better media viewing. Unfortunately, the phone comes with no support for external SD/SDHC memory; however, it features 16GB of onboard storage. Additional features include streamlined access to e-mail and Facebook (though there is no Twitter integration or Facebook auto sign-in); WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity options for browsing the net, using a Bluetooth headset, or accessing turn-by-turn navigation; and support for filming 720p quality videos.
