The HP 2009m is a 20-inch Diagonal 16:9 HD Ready Widescreen Monitor released by HP in 2009 with a $200 price tag. It's a step under the HP 2159m which is 1.5 inches wider and $40 more expensive. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio which makes it deal for viewing movies in their original formats. The display can be optimized for movies, photos, or games with the Quick View mode. It has a 1600x900 maximum resolution, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio (contrast ratio measures the ratio of the luminance of the brightest color (white) of the screen to that of the darkest color on the screen (black) that the system is capable of producing). Glare that has been usually seen on recent glossy screens is reduced in this system using the HP BrightView technology). Both digital and analogue content can be displayed using DVI-D with HDCP and VGA connectivity.
