The HP Deskjet 1050 is an entry-level, all-in-one color Thermal Inkjet printer designed for printing, scanning, and copying documents. It offers ultra-fast 16ppm black and 4ppm color draft printings, in addition to slower but laser-quality prints as well. Also included is support for 1200dpi scans and 600dpi copies. More importantly, the 1050 is ENERGY STAR qualified. It’s shipped in 99% recyclable packing, and the ink cartridges can easily be recycled for free. Note that the HP Deskjet 1050 is compatible with both Windows and Macintosh computers, and that connectivity is based strictly on USB.

I've got Mint Linux 10.04 on my Lenovo R61 laptop and yes, the driver installation should be easier than what it is now. But after all, got it working. Both printer and scanner works nice
