Edit

The HP EliteBook 2740p is a high-end 12.1" Tablet PC. The 2740p has most of the same specs as its close relative, the 2540p. Both models meet MIL-STD 810G military standards for vibration, dust, humidity, altitude and extreme temperatures; both come in a magnesium-alloy casing; both come equipped with an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor. With HP's characteristic emphasis on security, the 2740p has the same ProtectTools and fingerprint sensor as the 2540p. Though they are both small and lightweight, the 2740p at 3.8 lbs is slightly less lightweight than its companion. The main difference between the 2540p and the 2740p is that the 2740p comes in tablet form and can support both pen and finger input (w/ optional multi-touch gesture support).
