Edit

The HP Envy 14 is a premium entertainment notebook packed with powerful components. The 2011 iteration of the Envy 14 brings several upgrades. These include second generation Intel Core i series processors, AMD Radeon HD 6 series dedicated graphics processors and HP CoolSense Technology. The Envy 14 is one of the first HP notebooks to feature CoolSense, it is advertised to improve notebook cooling system by a combination of fan cooling control and hardware design (vent placement). The HP Thermal Assistant software is also provided for users to tailor their computer cooling preference. This is a welcoming change as some previous HP notebooks have had user complaints about over heating computers. Features that are unchanged include the 14.5'' LED backlit display, the optional backlit keyboard, and switchable graphics capabilities (integrated/dedicated). The 2011 HP Envy 14 is a good option for buyers looking for a portable multi-media notebook with high performance components.
