The Elitebook 8530w is a series of 15.4" notebook computers from Hewlett Packard. Processors available are Intel Core 2 Duo dual-core chips, as well as Intel's Core 2 Extreme and Core 2 Quad quad-core processors.  The standard display is 15.4" LCD with a resolution of 1680x1050 dpi.  An enhanced display is available with 1920x1200 dpi. The standard graphics adapter is an ATI Mobility FireGL V5700, featuring 256MB of dedicated memory, with an optional webcam.  The other graphics adapter  available for this line is  the NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M, featuring 512MB of dedicated memory.  Wi-Fi networking is included, using the 802.11b/g standard; A and N compatibility are available, using Intel's Link 5300, and Bluetooth support is optional as well.  The optical drive is a LightScribe DVD+/-RW SuperMulti with Double Layer support, and a Blu-ray ROM DVD+/-RW SuperMulti DL Drive is available as well.  The operating system is Windows Vista Business (32 or 64-bit) and upgrades to Vista Ultimate (32-bit) are available. The option to downgrade from Vista to Windows XP is also available. The 8530w uses HP's 3D DriveGuard, which lessens the impact of shock on the hard drive.  The notebook also uses HP's ProtectTools Security Manager, a suite of security tools for airtight business-level protection.  The standard battery is a 8-cell LiOn.  The weight on the average configuration of the Elitebook 8530w series is 6.3 lbs.

am using this laptop and it crashes al the time. i dont know why

As a programmer this is definatly NOT the system to buy. It is an unstable system that crashes when you least express it.
