The Veer is a touchscreen smart phone from the HP company developed in conjunction with Palm. Utilizing a small, lightweight design, this model functions as a successor to the Palm Pixi and Pixi Plus devices. Featuring a 2.6-inch multi-touch display, the Veer runs HP's own webOS operating system with Microsoft Exchange for unified email synchronization. A full-sized sliding QWERTY keyboard is included for improved communications accuracy, while a 5-megapixel digital camera provides depth-of-field clarity for optimal image and video capture. 8 gigabytes of internal storage are available to store a user's audio, video and image files, with USB 2.0 connectivity for one-step transferring. GPS support provides accurate locational data virtually anywhere Edge data can be accessed, utilizing advanced triangulation technology for results within a 10-meter radius. In addition, the Veer can be configured to act as a WiFi router for up to five other devices, utilizing HP's "Mobile Hotspot" function to collect and re-assign wireless internet signals.
