The V5061u is a digital camcorder from HP's 2010 lineup and is a step down from the V5560u.  Like the V5560u, the camcorder features a 3" touchscreen LCD display for navigating the settings and viewing recorded content.  It offers HD video recording in a 1440 x 1080 pixel resolution, automatic motion detection, and differs with the V5560u since it only has up to 4x digital zoom but lacks the 5x optical zoom of the V5560u.  The camcorder can also quickly switch modes to take still images in an up to 16 megapixel resolution.  The V5061u has an integrated HDMI port and includes dual SD/SDHC slots for adding up to 32GB of additional storage.  It can be powered by either the rechargeable battery or AA batteries when the rechargeable battery runs out.  The camcorder comes with a carrying pouch, lens cap, cleaning cloth, and has a 1 year limited warranty.

AA & Lithium Ion batteries go dead after 20 seconds. When I called for support they hung up. 2nd HP camera I bought that does this. I will not buy HP again.

Their computers are crap too. My desktop and a friend's laptop randomly switch into French Canadian text for no apparent reason when the computer is designated for American English. My original pc was a refurbished IBM and way better at a fraction of the cost than this lightweight piece of tin. Even the technician at the store I bought it from said "they don't make 'em like that anymore" referring to my old IBM which was compact and weighed 2/3rds more.
