The new standard in environmental design, Fibertech technology takes the natural plant fiber waste left over from processing rice, wheat, bamboo, and sugar cane and transforms them into a biodegradable, fire-retardant, flame proof, and insulating (doesn't conduct electricity) ironing board top able to withstand temperatures from -40 degrees to 356 degrees Fahrenheit. Because this board top is made from natural plant fibers, it breaks down quickly - between 120 and 180 days in a landfill; 2-3 years in a field environment - into its smaller molecular components. These components are harmless to the surrounding environment and cause no damage to delicate underground water sources. The final product has passed many degradation and safety tests certifying its environmental and consumer friendliness, e. g., GB18006. 1-999, GB19305-2003, ASTM-F963-2008, and FDA. Final product has passed CTL testing for Ironing Boards. Biodegradability claims verified by Microbe Inotech Laboratories, Inc. U.S. Patent applications have been filed on the product and the process.
By transforming natural plant fiber waste left over from processing wheat, bamboo, and sugar cane into a biodegradable ironing board, we are using raw material bases that are non toxic, not harmful to the earth and thus resulting in an economically viable product for consumers.
The Fibertech ironing board has a ventilated top which provides an excellent surface for steam ironing. The Fibertech top can withstand temperatures higher than the hottest iron setting of 204 degrees Farenheit.
The material composition of the Fibertech board is a combination of grain fiber, stone power, bagasse and polyresin. All pulled from the natural plant fiber waste of wheat, bamboo and sugar cane.
By transforming natural plant fiber waste left over from processing wheat, bamboo, and sugar cane into a biodegradable ironing board, we are using raw material bases that are non-toxic. Degrades in between 120 and 180 days in a landfill or 2-3 years in a field environment. Doesn't pollute the environment or contaminate delicate underground water resources. Reduces other waste from other processing and manufacturing operations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the height be adjusted so one can iron while sitting?
Oh, YES! that is the way I generally use mine. It is very sturdy and easy to adjust. Love the "hanger holder" on the end of the iron holder. A great purchase.
Is the iron holder detachable? I do not have space for it to be attached.
If you drilled out the rivets that hold it on, yes. If n it, no. It doesn't seem like it would be hard to drill out the rivets. I love everything about the ironing board except the iron holder. It cradles the iron rather than is a stand area for it. It feels awkward. Otherwise it is rad. My hubby is a VERY large man-shirts are huge, this board is wide enough that the shirt doesn't touch the ground while I'm ironing it. It's sturdy and seems like it will last for years.
