The Honeywell 5853 Wireless Glass Break Detector is compatible with all Ademco/Honeywell 5800 series devices and can be mounted on any wall or ceiling, offering a 25 foot range of operation. It is built around a FlexCore signal processor which can detect the sound of a variety of glass breakage including plate, tampered, wired, laminate glass and others. Sound processing happens in parallel not sequentially, so the speed of detection of sound frequency, amplitude and duration can occur 50% faster than with other systems. This also reduces the chance of false alarms as well. Although it carries a maximum range of 25' there is no minimum range, so you can place it as close to the glass as you wish. There are four sensitivity settings ranging from Max, Medium, Low and Lowest and LED lights will indicate when in test mode, trouble conditions and alarms. It will also transmit supervisory, status, low battery and tamper messages to the control panel automatically. Two 3V batteries are included and it can operate in temperatures from 14F/-10C to 122F/50C.
