Edit

Google Wallet is an NFC-based mobile payment service provided by Google and is designed to offer a quick easy payment method through a mobile phone application. Designed initially for use with the Nexus S 4G (due to the phone's built-in NFC chip and Google's partnership with Sprint) Google Wallet has received backing from retail and financial partners, who will offer rewards for use at their locations, and by partnering with MasterCard specifically, the app will function at locations where the PayPass contactless payment system is already in place. Ultimately, plans are to expand to other phones utilizing either their built-in NFC hardware, or via an optional NFC sticker. The "Wallet" must be filled using either a Citi MasterCard of a Google Prepaid card.
