The Giro Hex is a mountain / XC-racing bike helmet designed for price-conscious consumers seeking the ruggedness required for aggressive riding. Featured is in-mold technology around the ribs and vents to help with comfortable and proper venting. Also included are 21 vents, a removable Point of View (POV) visor that can be rotated 15 degrees, a Roc Loc stabilizing system that keeps the helmet securely in place, and a Tri Loc strap for quick and easy adjustments. Most users praise the outstanding ventilation, but have complained about the Roc Loc system. For one, it has a pointy edge that can cut into a user’s skin. Plus the straps often need to be pushed away, but the rubber on the arm interferes with users’ glasses.
