The Gigabyte M1005 is one of two Atom N550-based netbooks released in 2011. As a minor upgrade from the original M1022 (prior to the M1022X), the M1005 hosts a more powerful dual-core versus single-core Intel Atom CPU, and larger HDDs up to 320GB. Also included is support for 2GB max DDR2 RAM, a 10.1” LED backlight display, and integrated speakers and a mic. One noticeable upgrade is the addition of Bluetooth 3.0. There’s also Gigabit LAN, Wireless N, and a 4-in-1 card reader, though there isn’t an optical drive or support for USB 3.0 Included with the M1005 is a docking station for vertical orientation.
