BIOS auto-detection is a little inaccurate, may lead to minor problems fixable only by manual BIOS settings tweaking.

On-board audio gets distorted by other signals in the mobo, creating noise through speakers when HDD is being accessed.

The Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 is an ATX size motherboard that supports Intel CPUs with the LGA1156 configuration. This is one of the earliest motherboards to directly support the USB 3.0 standard, offering high transfer rates without the need of an add-on card. A total of 10 USB ports are built in, along with built in 10/100/1000 Ethernet support and 7.1 channel audio. Video is not directly supported, as an external graphics card needs to added, but ATI CrossFireX is supported for the use of multiple cards to share the graphics processing load. This, combined with a total of 4 PCI-E slots and a maximum of 16 GB of DDR3 memory may make this a choice for users building a performance PC. 6 SATA connectors allow for multiple hard drives, and a number of RAID configurations are also directly supported.
