The Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H is an entry-level micro ATX motherboard, released in mid-2009. This board is well suited for use in an HTPC or entry-level gaming machine. The UD2H supports the AM3 socket, which enables the use of AMD’s 6-core Phenom II processors. A maximum of 4 DDR3 DIMMs can be installed, meaning up 16GB of system memory when using this motherboard. While the integrated Radeon HD 4200 is enough power for watching 1080p video, those looking to play PC games will likely need to add a separate video card to the free PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot. A total of 5 SATA 3Gb/s connectors are built-in for adding multiple hard drives, while a single eSATA port is available on the back panel. Video out options include D-Sub, DVI-D and HDMI.
