The Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 is a high-end LGA1366 motherboard, released in early 2009. This board is a step up from the Gigabyte’s GA-EX58-UD4P, as this model includes two PCI Express x8 slots in addition to dual PCI-E x16 lanes. While this model has been superseded by high-end 2010 models, the UD5 retains much of the same functionality. Features include 2 PCI Express x16 slots, 2 PCI-E x8 slots and 6 DDR3 DIMMs supporting up to 24GB of system memory. Gamers will likely appreciate 2-way/3-way SLI and CrossFireX support, which enables better performance when playing games. Unlike the lower-end models from 2009, 2 SATA 6Gb/s connectors are built-in and dual USB 3.0 ports line the unit’s back panel.
