Grover Imperial tuners are remarkably accommodating - tuning range is remarkably wide, and maintains intonation for a very long time

Ebony fretboard mimics the style of vintage Gibson acoustics played by Elvis Presley and other famous musicians - provides a natural "springy" feel preferable to rosewood

On-par with the best models from Guild, Martin and Taylor - craftsmanship is impeccable, and indicative of Gibson's revered custom shop in Montana

Edit

The Gibson Montana Gold Flame Maple is unlike the Gibson J line of guitars as it is built with Grover's Imperial tuners which were created in 1970 and kept close to the original ever since. Like the J line of guitars, the housing for the gear and string post is designed to be durable and protect the meshed, slip free moving parts. The Gibson Montana Gold Flame Maple has its own custom peghead logo with a gold mother of pearl banner with wheat accents. The custom logo is placed under the traditional Gibson logo and is only placed on Montana Gold guitars. The pickguard is the standard super jumbo shape that is used for all of the super jumbo guitars, but it is designed with the "Montana Gold" banner. The Gibson Montana Gold Flame Maple is one of the more expensive Gibson guitars out on the market.
