The George Foreman GGR50 grill is an indoor/outdoor electric grill that is meant, in part, to replace a barbecue. It is targeted at those with limited space, or for use in areas where open flames are discouraged or disallowed. The electric heat has an adjustable range from low (for keeping food warm) to high (for searing steaks or other meats). The grill has a nonstick surface which reduces the need for added oils or fats, and helps make cleanup easier. Also, as with many George Foreman products, the surface is sloped so that fats run down and collect in a front tray. This grill can be mounted atop its included pedestal, but it can also be placed on top of a table. There is a large lid for this grill which allows air circulation and provides enough room to cook an entire chicken.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the lid hinged? Does it slide back or do you have to lift it?

The lid is not hinged in any way. It must be lifted off the grill, like the lid of a serving platter.
