Leaves lint on clothes, doesn't clean well at all.

4 agree

It takes a little while to get used to its unusual noise- common to HE toploaders. Best I can describe it as, is like a seagull squawk.

The GE GTWN5050MWS is a 27-inch tall top-loading washer featuring a 4.7 cu ft stainless steel load basket. As a downgrade from the GTWN4950LWS, the GTWN5050MWS washes only 5 (versus 6) wash and rinse cycles, including Cottons, Delicates, Casuals, Easy Care, and Heavy. Like its superior sibling, the GTWN5050MWS washer relies on a 700rpm engine with variable controls, meaning users can manually adjust it as necessary. Mind you, the washer uses an intelligent chip capable of precisely measuring water level, temperature, and speed without user intervention. Not also can this save money (it’s more accurate), but it’s also more convenient.

The trouble I am having is what I would call the filtering of lint. I am getting a sediment left on laundry that looks like wet lint. Will wipe off easily. If it was a soap residue, it wouldn't come off that easy. I am loading per the instructions, using HE soap as directed and using all different types of water temps. It doesn't matter what I try, I have problems. Is this normal for this type of machine?

With many years of experience washing laundry at home and for a very large organization, this washer simply does not do the job on any level. The large stainless drum is nice but can not clean or wet larger loads of laundry. White clothes are dingy and colored clothes have a stale odor even with using fabric softener. Re-washing, pre-washing and pre-treating clothes does not improve the clothes and linen end result. If re-washing and pre-washing are recommended what is the use of low water levels.
