The SCA1001KSS is the stainless-steel version of the entry-level model in GE's high-end Advantium line of over-the-range microwaves. With 900 W of output power and a capacity of 1.4 cu. ft., it aims to meet the needs of average users while fitting easily in a medium-sized kitchen. Like all Advantium models, it utilizes Speedcook technology, which GE claims produces oven-quality food at microwave speeds by integrating convection technology. Traditional, sensor microwave, and warming modes are also included. Rather than a number pad, the SCA1000HBB features a dial to navigate through over 100 pre-programmed menu items and set cook times, adding to its high-end look. Other upscale features include a halogen lamp on the underside of the oven to illuminate a stovetop with natural-looking light. A 1-year warranty is standard.
