The GE J1455 is a 14.1 megapixel compact digital camera announced in February by GE(General Imaging) for a Q2 2010 release as part of their Smart Series of digital cameras. It runs on a Lithium-ion battery which can be charged with the included charger, and also takes SD/SDHC cards up to 16GB. USB cable is also included for direct transfer of files to a computer, and Arcsoft Photo Impression 6 software enables you to edit and manage your pictures, video and music. 5x optical zoom lense with up to ISO 1600 sensitivity can take pictures in a variety of light situations and shooting modes including landscape, night landscape, portrait, night portrait and panorama which allows you to pan the camera for wide-view panoramic pictures. A large 3" TFT-LCD display on the back makes viewing and managing pictures enjoyable, and, there is an AV output for viewing on an external monitor or tv. The recording of QuickTime Motion JPEGs in mono is possible also, as is recording up to 60 seconds of WAV audio, handy for recording voice memos.
