The Gateway EC54 is one of three thin-and-light notebooks (EC14, EC54, and EC58) released in October 2009 alongside the Windows 7 operating system. It features an Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 320GB SATA hard-disc drive. It is built for both business- and entertainment-minded individuals, as it incorporates a wide array of both communications and multimedia features. Included is GigaBit/WiFi connectivity, an integrated webcam and microphone, and a long-lasting battery that can be made to last up to 8 hours per charge. Note also that the EC54 not only can handle high-resolution (1366x768) cinematic videos, but it also includes Dolby Sound Room audio enhancement technology for delivering crisp, natural surround-sound. Additional features include an HDMI port, multi-touch trackpad, and DVD drive.
