The Gateway FX6840-23 is a high-end desktop PC similar to the Gateway FX6840-03e. The FX6840-23 sports an ATI Radeon HD 5750 graphics process, which is one step below the FX6840-03e's HD 5770. However, the FX6840-23 sports a 1TB 7200rpm hard drive as compared to the FX6840-03e's 1TB variable rpm hard drive. Otherwise, the two desktop PCs sport the same features, including: an Intel Core i7-860 processor, 8GB of dual-channel DDR3 RAM, a DVD Supermulti drive and a Multi-in-One media card reader.

The FX6840-23's ATI Radeon HD 5750 graphics processor allows for 1080p high definition media playback and features HDMI and DVI ports for multi-monitor setups while also allowing for mid-level DirectX 11 gaming. Its Intel Core i7 processor and 8GB of RAM ensure that the FX6840-23 can handle even heavy multitasking as well as high resolution video and image editing. Additionally, the FX6840-23's 1TB 7200rpm hard drive, in addition to providing a large amount of storage space, provides moderately fast red/write speeds over hard drives of lesser or variable rotations per minute.

I have had many, many computers, but this is the best I have ever had for my use. Quiet, dependable, fast. Works great with win 7 pro, which I need for virtual xp for a couple of
my old programs I will not give up.
