The Nuvi 1350LMT is a portable global positioning system receiver from Garmin that offers a step-up from the company's Nuvi 1350T model. Featuring a 4.3-inch backlit TFT touchscreen, this model is equipped with an FM transmitter for free lifetime traffic updates. With this function, users are consistently updated with the latest information concerning accidents, construction and other road blocks with automatic detouring offered in time to avoid major delays. The unit's map software can be updated four times a year, ensuring the most up-to-date map interfaces to to include of new streets, houses and businesses. Voice-prompted turn-by-turn navigation is available throughout all of North America and Mexico, with zoomable two and three-dimensional featuring a simulated elevation function with shaded contours. "Lane Assist" provides users with a virtual first-person view of the given street or freeway they are driving on, with arrowed illustrations ensuring that the right lanes are being used at all times. Over six million "Points Of Interest" are included that can be organized based on the user's personal interests, with added "HotFix" satellite technology applying predictive locational data when signal drop-off occurs. Slimmer than many of the other Nuvi models, the 1350LMT is suitable for pedestrian navigation and can be used in conjunction with "CityXplorer" software for accessing public transit information in a wide variety of major towns and cities. In addition, "EcoRoute" mode helps to discover the most fuel-efficient routes with an integrated fuel-consumption meter based on the settings of a given vehicle, offering automatic detour options along the way.

What countries are included in the European maps? Are the lifetime yearly updates to these maps free as well?

Map update process is cumbersome and time consuming. The good news is it is free!
