The HD5750 offers a huge step up in performance for just $25 more, this leaves the GT240 at a tricky spot in terms of pricing/performance ratio

Not very good value for money, better gaming performance can be had with the older 9800GT at 60% of the cost, albeit does not have as many computing features

The EVGA GeForce GT 240 SuperClocked is a video card for the entry-level gamer. This card is identical to the EVGA GeForce GT 240, with the exception of a slightly greater memory bandwidth. The processing power and memory will support most applications and games, although higher end applications may need a more expensive alternative. It comes with DVI-I, VGA and HDMI outputs to suit whichever type of display you use.

The processor is a 550MHz NVidia GT GPU with 96 processing cores, supported by 512MB of DDR5 memory. The memory itself has 57.4GB/s of bandwidth. The card fits in a standard PCI-E slot, and can support resolutions of up to 2560x1600. This card has already been overclocked, but power users may be able to find ways to increase the speed of the processor even further at the risk of increased heat generation and power usage.
