Frequently Asked Questions
Curing time - 24 hours required!?? Will this product allow you to leave it on for 24 hourse time?
You'll need to turn it off and re-set. I do mine by setting my first timing when I wake in the morning, then, when it goes off, we turn it on again, and turn it on a 3rd time right before bed. If you've never done 24-hr culture before, you'll need to know that the curds and whey will separate -- that is -normal- with long-cultured yogurt. It also won't be quite as thick as shorter-culture yogurt (but it makes MUCH better yogurt cheese, IMO).
Flavoring: What do you flavor it with?
Jams and preserves also work very well. My favorite so far is the blueberry I've made using Bonne Maman preserves. Look for Bonne Maman preserves and jams at most larger grocery stores. They're French, they're really good, and quite reasonable.
Coconut yogurt: can you make coconut yogurt using coconut milk with this unit
