Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can use my own glass containers?

Yes, you can use your own glass containers. Can use a 6-cup glass Pyrex container (avail. at Bed, Bath & Beyond and elsewhere) - it fits perfectly. Your containers just need to fit within the circumference of the maker.

  • What is the temperature range on this product?

Use a meat thermometer and it should show 100 - 110 degrees. anything over 115 - 120 could start killing some cultures. Same idea as putting yeast in water that is too warm, kills the yeast and bread doesn't rise.

  • Can this unit make thick yogurt?

It makes thick yogurt if you use Greek yogurt as a starring culture. Also using whole milk and adding a little heavy cream makes it thicker too.
