Epiphone's 1959 Les Paul Standard is a limited-edition electric guitar designed to imitate the 1959 sunburst version of the Les Paul. Period details include stylized tone and volume knobs and nickle hardware, and a replica case (included) with brown and pink exterior/interior. The body is constructed of mahogany with a rock maple top, and comes in two faded burst color patterns. The pickups are Gibson's "BurstBucker 2" (neck) and "BurstBucker 3" (bridge), which strive to emulate the original Les Paul sounds. The neck extends deep into the guitar body, which provides strength as well as longer sustain. Only 1,959 copies of this model were produced. Overall, the gist of this guitar is to both look and sound like an original '59 Les Paul as possible.
