The eMachines ER1401-57 is a mid-level compact PC designed for users who don't want to deal with the hassle of a full-sized desktop PC. This model is a step up from eMachines’ ER1402-55, as it comes with a larger hard drive at 250GB (compared to 160GB) and a better AMD Athlon II Neo K325 processor. The two models are otherwise alike, with 2GB of DDR3 memory, NVIDIA nForce 9200 graphics and a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. With HDMI out and S/PDIF optical audio out, this computer makes for a great small-form factor home theater PC. The eMachines ER1401-57 can also be used for editing documents, surfing the web and other general computing tasks.
