The Denon DP-200USB turntable is built to automatically convert vinyl records into MP3 files. An internal MP3 encoder processes the sound automatically and outputs the files to a front panel USB port, where users can put a storage key (not included). The software automatically detects the separate tracks to create new files, or this function can be switched off and handled manually. The first 15 seconds of each track are analysed and compared against the Gracenote Internet music database to automatically fill in the artist, title, and album information on the MP3. Conventional stereo outputs are also available, and RIAA equalization can be turned on or off for increased compatibility. This player uses a belt drive system with a DC servo motor, and the elliptical diamond stylus is held by a moving magnet photo cartridge.
