Though advertised as a home theater system, the Denon S-81 is more accurately an audio reciever system capable of being used in a home theater set up. It features a 100 watt two-speaker system, and its reciever has a built-in CD player, also capable of playing MP3 or WMA-9 encoded disks, and uses 24-bit/192kHZ DACs. It is capable of hooking up to an Ipod via an Ipod cable or an optional Ipod dock, and is XM Radio ready. There are two auxillary audio inputs at the back of the unit and one digital optical input.
