Dell's XPS 12 is a unique laptop, a so-called "ultrabook" that functions as both a traditional clamshell laptop (with full keyboard and trackpad) as well as a tablet. The transition occurs by rotating the screen around and folding down a metal hinge to make the computer a flat tablet. This particular model is an updated version of a previous one with the same name, and the main difference is the inclusion of an Intel i5 central processor. Another selling point of this model is the construction materials, which include aluminum, Gorilla Glass, and carbon fibre. Hardware includes a 128GB solid-state hard disk, 1080p touchscreen display, and 4GB RAM. The stock operating system is Windows 8. Ultimately this is intended to be a lightweight and versatile laptop, appropriate for a range of different work and entertainment uses.
