The Dell Latitude D430 is the flagship road warrior in the Latitude line-up. To be considered a road warrior, the laptop must be small in size and weight, while possessing strong communication tools, have long battery life and a durable exterior. This model has a 12.1” WXGA display and weighs 3lbs while being powered by Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with a CPU speed of 1.2 GHz. Dell designed the D430 to be a business tool for the frequent traveler, and the connectivity package found on this laptop reflects that characteristic. Intel WiFi 802.11a/g/n, Built-in WiFi Catcher, and HyperBand Diversity Antenna are tools also found in other premium Dell models, which aim towards keeping the user connected anywhere at any time. The RoadReady package is intended to protect the D430 from the hazardous on-the-go lifestyle, supported by a full magnesium-alloy construction, a Strike Zone hard drive to battle bumps and drops, and an optional Solid State Drive with no moving parts. Additionally, security options are available to be equipped on the D430, such as the UPEK finger print reader. Lastly, the 8.5 hour battery life rounds out the road warrior profile of Dells flagship Latitude D430.
