Pros

Solid option for the gamer on a budget (with a GPU upgrade, of course).

1 agrees

Great overall value--costs about as much as it would to custom build with the same specs.

1 agrees

Surprisingly little bloatware for a pre-built PC.

1 agrees

VGA and HDMI video outputs--most PCs are restricted to VGA without a GPU upgrade.

1 agrees

Smaller form factor fits well under a desk.

1 agrees

Attractive chassis design available in a variety of colours.

Cons

Can likely get a more powerful quad-core PC for marginally more.

1 agrees

Like all pre-built PCs, customization is fairly limited.

Edit

The Dell Inspiron 570 is a customizable, entry-level mini tower desktop available in multiple high-gloss color options. It comes equipped with the Windows 7 OS, an AMD CPU (2.7GHz base), up to 4GB of RAM (2GB base), and up to a 640GB SATA HDD (320GB base). Also included in the base is integrated ATI Radeon HD4200 graphics, making even the more inexpensive model game and movie friendly. Plus there’s 7.1-channel audio (optional SoundBlaster), Gigabit LAN, and an HDMI port for connecting to an HD monitor or TV. Adding anything else (optical, wireless, media card) requires a bump in the base price.

It really depends on what you use a PC for. What do you use your existing computer for? What do you plan on using your new computer for? What applications do you use/want to use?

I have this pc myself and it runs awesome. Mine has the 750 gig hd 4 gigs of the 1066 mhz ram and 20 inch lcd screen and i have it hooked up thru hdmi as well. It is very customizable as my machine has the amd athlon x2 dual core but it can take up to a quad core and it will take 8 gigs of ram also so this would make a very decent gaming machine if u wanted to do that with it. It does have a pci express slot for video upgrades as well, and as i said it has onboard hdmi as well as reg. vga video as well so plenty of video options. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone because for a dell its pretty awesome and very upgradeable :)
