The Dell Dimension 1100 is a budget desktop PC. It is designed for use with common productivity applications and basic multimedia functionality. It features an Intel Celeron D processor. The customer may choose between two variations of the processor: The 325 series (2.53GHz, 533MHz FSB, 256KB L2 cache) or the 330 series (2.66GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 256KB L2 cache). The processor enables a user to use common applications (Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, etc) with ease. It also has six USB 2.0 ports (two at the front, four at the back) that allows a user to connect many different USB devices to their PC at once. The Dimension 1100 uses the Windows XP operating system, giving a user compatibility with a large variety of programs, and system stability. When compared to another desktop PC by Dell, the Dimension 5150, the Dimension 1100 has some disadvantages, such as a weaker processor, and less capacity for RAM.
